The De La Rosas
I’ve known Jaz for many years, but we only became friends when we were roommates while interning at Calvary Chapel Bible College. There were 6 of us in a room, but Jaz and I were like two peas in a pod. I wanted an errand buddy? Jaz would come with me. I was sad and needed someone to talk to? Jaz was who I’d go to. Her and Munky were dating when we were roommates, so when they got engaged, I was ecstatic. A few months after the proposal, Jaz texted me that they just wanted to plan something quick. She asked if I’d fly to California to be their photographer, and I knew there was no way I’d pass that up.
Fast forward a few months to their wedding day. As soon as I showed up, I knew it was going to be a magical day. There was just a calming peace about everyone that was there. Only their family and close friends were there to celebrate with them— it was so intimate and perfect.
At the end of the reception, they needed a ride to their hotel in LA. I offered to be their driver — but before I dropped them off, we stopped by the Art District and took some fun pictures. One of my most favorite wedding days ever, except for my own— of course.
